My glassblowing crew and I had an action packed March, and we're keeping the momentum going through April.
Last month my operations manager George Billesimo tapped the old maple trees outside the Fire Arts Vermont building, collecting buckets full of sap. We harnessed the leftover heat of the glass furnace to boil the sap into a delicious syrup. Our early spring pancake breakfast is a tradition my team and I look forward to every year.
Next week we're shutting down the glass furnace for routine maintenance. We'll be back to blowing in early May!
