The Kauri Series pays homage to the majestic Kauri forests of New Zealand, where ancient trees stretch toward the sky, shedding lower branches in their ascent. Inspired by this natural spectacle, the Catalonia Kauri sculpture blends warm hues reminiscent of Spanish coastal shells. Created by layering 5 different powdered glasses on the outside of the piece, adorned with shimmering Japanese silver foil, this artwork captures the essence of both distant landscapes, combining them into a harmonious visual narrative.
Handblown on the blowpipe while molten, signed on the bottom. Each piece is a unique reflection of nature's magnificent beauty.
