The Kauri Series was inspired by the ancient Kauri forests of New Zealand. These uniquely shaped trees shed lower branches as they reach into the sky. The warm coloration of the Catalonia Kauri was inspired by coloration of a shell from the coast of Spain, and features shimmering Japanese silver foil.
This unique sculpture was created and assembled on the blowpipe while hot. Signed on bottom.
